Garcinia Cambogia is a fruit which has been in usage since ancient times. It grows naturally in India, South East Asia and Central Africa. The natives of these countries have known the benefits of this fruit due to its properties of providing health nutrients as well as a diet supplement.

The natives consumed this fruit on the basis of their assumption and the benefits that they seem to have observed post the consumption. It was only until very recently that modern scientists and medical practitioners have found the truth in the assumptions of the natives. This fruits which looks like a pumpkin but does not taste so well have been found to be the bearer of Hydroxycitric Acid or HCA. This active ingredient is responsible for slowing the process of carbohydrates transforming into glucose.
This is because the production of enzyme lyase which is responsible for this process gets inhibited or reduced due to the consumption of Garcinia Cambogia. Thus carbs remain stored within the body as fat. This gives energy to individuals for a considerable time period. This same fruits also boost the communicative channels of systems and organs and helps individuals on feeling full. This individuals can sustain themselves without feeling hungry over a long period of time.

Now whether this fruit so highly hailed for its health benefits is beneficial for mothers when they are breastfeeding kids is doubtful. This is for the properties that Garcinia Cambogia possesses.
Breastfeeding mothers need nutrients from the food that they eat. Garcinia Cambogia reduces the feeling of hunger. Hence, this might not be beneficial for breastfeeding moms. Since this fruit also bears capacity of increasing the rate of metabolism, this might bring a negative effect on the body, not suggestive for nursing moms to intake.

Since this fruits cause change sin the body, it is advisable not to allow the consumption of Garcinia Cambogia while breastfeeding kids as most individuals at this point of time are sensitive and are unable to withstand changes in their bodies.

Moreover, medical science have not done any testing to know the functions of this fruit on the body of kids below the age of eighteen years. Since for a breastfeeding mom, all the nutrients of the body will be indirectly transferred to the new born kid through breast milk, it is best not t experiment with Garcinia Cambogia while one is still at the breastfeeding stage.
